Frequently Ask Questions

How are youth referred to your program?
Referrals are submitted by the youth’s legal guardian, DSS, or Managed Care Organization (MCO). These referrals are reviewed by the Team and responded to by the Intake Coordinator. At that time, we will request required documentation and coordinate a date and time for admission.
What do I need to bring during Admission?
If the youth receives medication, you must bring a two week supply of medication and updated MAR.
Please be prepared to fill out the Visitation and Contact Plan, this way we know whom the youth can have contact.
Does the organization provide Individual Therapy?
Yes. We offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy on a weekly basis. However, if the youth requires therapy more often, our team will ensure their needs are met.
Does Anderson provide Family Therapy?
We love to see families reunited. Our Therapist are available to provide Family Therapy session in order to facilitate the dialogue that will help families support one another.
Are the youth allowed to leave the campus?
At Anderson we believe youth should be given the opportunity to practice the skills they are learning in real-world situations. Therefore, we encourage families to work with the treatment to plan Home Visits, Therapeutic Leave, and Day trips with their youth.
How are spiritual or religious practices observed?
We work to accommodate spiritual and religious practices. If there are specific needs, please communicate this during Admission.
